- To
create awareness about the deadly COVID-19 and its impact

create awareness about the precautionary/preventive measures to be taken to
avoid getting infected by the COVID-19.
- To
set up a ‘COVID-19 Information Support Group (CISG)’ in all the SALIS Chapters to provide COVID-19
related services to the members and LIS community
- To
organize a series of webinars/counseling sessions by inviting experts on
various health issues related topics such
as how to increase immune systems by taking traditional food, how to protect from
COVID-19: Dos and Don’ts, Psychology-related progrmmes, etc.
- To
motivate the people to take COVID-19 vaccination
- To
educate the members to use masks, sanitizers and the importance of social
distancing
- To
provide moral support to the affected members and their families
- To
create a COVID-19 Information KIT – to provide ready reference services–by collecting all
the information related to COVID-19 in one place
- To
collect information about the COVID-19 affected people and death occurred due
to it.
- To get requests from the affected members / LIS professionals about the type of service they require and to try to address the same based on fund position and availability of other information/support they need.
